كما كانت الحجّة في اجتياح العام 1982، فإن الرواية الإسرائيلية مازالت هي هي، إذ يحاول الإسرائيليون ترويج قصة "خطف" جنديين في تبريرها للقتل الرهيب الذي تمارسه على المدنيين الآمنين أو النازحين وتدمير للبنى التحتية.
تتبنى الروايات الرسمية العربية، وأكثرها وضوحاً السعودية، تلك الرواية الإسرائيلية. فالقتل الإسرائيلي الهمجي هو سياسي بامتياز إذ أنه مدعوم بكشاف أخضر أميركي وضوء أخضر عربي. الدعم السياسي العربي، بحده الأدنى وإن كان متدنيا في العادة، غاب هذه المرة، بل وقف ضد تصدي المقاومة للعدوان ومن الضروري مجابهته الآن! Although Kirchick has published essentially the same article under different titles -- "Palestine and Gay Rights" (www.advocate.com/exclusive_detail_ektid33587.asp) and "Palestinian Anti-Gay Atrocities Need Attention" (www.innewsweekly.com/innews/?class_code=Op&article_code=783) -- and although he regurgitates the same flimsy, unsupported arguments in all of these articles, we do not write to question his intellectual prowess or journalistic qualifications. انّه مّلخص ما يجري في غزة من انتهاك لحقوق الانسان و سلب لارادة شعب انهكه الاحتلال. آلاف الضحايا سقطت وما من يسأل او يتخذ خطوات جدية لوقف حمام الدم المتواصل منذ عشرين يوماً. صور موجعة لا يمكن الاّ ان تؤثر في من يراها عبر الشاشات لكن يبدو انّها لم تكن كافيةللتحرك العربي و الدولي.
